About

Stuff to Know

High Yield is a Half-Life 2: Episode 2 modification based on the popular Half-Life 1 modification Project: Quantum Leap. It's meant to be a large group of maps made by many people. All the maps submitted will then be used to create a mod where you will play a random level when the previous one has ended.

Rules

Read, Comprehend, Follow

1. Your map must be named "HY_<map_name_here>", please try and use an original file name or your user name.

2. Working in a team is fine.

3. You must include the .bsp and .vmf in a .zip, along with any sound, material, and model files you may have made.

4. Do not use copyrighted content, or any content that wasn't made directly by you or a team member.

5. You can have as many maps as you want, but if you want them to link directly to each other you must do it yourself with a trigger_changelevel or console command. Or you could even use the entities I provide, and just change the console command the logic_relay fires to go to your next map.

6. Every map must have the entities that this .vmf contains. At the end of your map or group of maps you must use a trigger_once or something similar to fire "OnTrigger>Exit_Relay01>Trigger". This will use our custom coded console command to randomly select the next map.

7. No joke maps.

8. I reserve the right to edit your map's .vmf.

9. No maps or map sets that last longer than thirty minutes.

10. Optimize as much as possible.

11. Maps do not have to be set in the Half-Life universe.

12. Maps should last at least one minute.

13. Puzzle maps and maps without combat are welcome.

14. Only Episode 2 and custom content is allowed. CSS content can also be used, but you must include the contents you used from CSS in your .zip file.

15. There is no theme, make whatever you want.

16. Have fun making your map!
